Piaynemo’s natural wonders, from its iconic viewpoints to its underwater treasures. Piaynemo is known for its iconic karst limestone formations that rise dramatically from the sea. These towering limestone cliffs are covered in lush vegetation and surrounded by pristine waters. It’s a surreal and almost otherworldly landscape that is a photographer’s dream.

Arborek Village
Arborek Village is one of the popular tourist destinations and was once included in the top 50 in the 2021 Indonesian Tourism Village Award. This tourist attraction, which is located in West Papua, has an area of around 7 hectares.

This tourist village is famous for its beautiful natural views, sea, fish and coral reefs. The word arborek comes from the Biak language which means 'thorn'. In the past, the Biak tribe was famous as skilled sailors, and were even nicknamed the Vikings of Papua. One day, Biak sailors sailed from Cendrawasih Bay heading north and accidentally discovered an empty, uninhabited island with white sand. After exploring and being sure that this  island was uninhabited, they finally decided to stay and create a village.

Initially this island was filled with thorny bushes and was later given the name Arborek. Arborek Sea is known as the distribution location for manta rays. This animal is a target for foreign divers because of its shape and only in Raja Ampat can tourists see two species of manta rays. Tourists can carry out diving and snorkeling activities in this tourist village.

Come and spend some of your time with Arborek people in Raja Ampat. Try their local food and discover their traditional customs including their handicrafts practices. You can also pamper yourself by chilling and taking a bath in a blue ocean. All of these wonderful experiences are waiting to be explored in Arborek village.

Pasir Timbul Island: Desert in the middle of the ocean
In the middle of nowhere, there lies a lone circular island hidden to many. Only for a few hours a day, when the tide is low, this little island rises out of the ocean. This is why they call it Pasir Timbul or “arising sand”.

Step down from the boat and feel your own universe. It is so beautiful and calm. The combination of smooth white sand and water carrying hues of aquamarine, turquoise, and midnight blue is spectacular.

The strange thing is, this tiny sand island doesn’t get washed out by the daily tides.
If you come at the right moment, you can even take a picture as though you are floating or walking on water.
